Pathway to Small Business Financing: Microloans, Credit Scores and a Paper Trail

This workshop will discuss the necessary steps required for a small business to ultimately qualify for mainstream financing.

An emphasis on building credit scores and generating a paper trail of financial documents will be reviewed along with strategic tools and services such as microloans, an alternative financing product that can enhance both personal and business credit scores.

Presenter's Bio: Galen Gondolfi is Chief Strategy Officer with St. Louis-based Justine PETERSEN, a nationally recognized asset development organization and microlender. In his 20 years with Justine PETERSEN, Galen has held positions in housing, microlending and most recently communications and development.

Galen routinely speaks publicly on the issues of microfinance, community-driven economic development and the plight of the underbanked; He has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Bloomberg, American Banker and The Chronicle of Philanthropy. Galen has previously worked for community development organizations in Chicago, Boston and Washington DC.
